9 Rebecca Paff

BIO:

2009 -2011

• Rebecca started playing Volleyball in 2009 after being invited to fill in for her housemate’s team in the Baulkham Hills Volleyball (BHV) Social Competition. From there, she was invited to train with the BHV Wasps and play a few games of the NSW State Sydney Volleyball League (SVL) season before having to take some time off for work reasons.
• After a move to Perth, Western Australia in 2010, she participated in the Perth Volleyball League season with the University of Western Australia and played two seasons with the club.
• Whilst the finals series eluded her teams, she was able to secure a silver medal in the hotly contested Colley Coal Cup in 2011.

2012

• Bec then moved to Victoria in 2012 and played a season with the Yarra Ranges Volleyball club’s Reserves team.
• During the pre-season she played with the club’s Premier Team at the prestigious Warrnambool Classic, helping them to bring home the Gold Medal.
• In the same year, she participated in the Australian Defence Force Nationals Volleyball tournament for the combined ACT/WA team;
• Selected as a Reserve for the National Women’s Team after playing the tournament as an Outside Hitter and Opposite player.

2013

• Rebecca returned to Sydney in 2013 and has since represented Hills Dragons as a Division One player in the Sydney Volleyball league;

2014

• Won SILVER in the 2014 SVL;
• Won SILVER in the 2014 State Manly Cup;
• Won BRONZE Medal at Good Neighbour.

2015

• Moved to Sydney North Volleyball (SNV) where she continues to play for the SNV Squirrels Honours Women’s team.
• The team has had mixed results between 2015-2018, achieving two fourth places in the SVL League in 2016 and 2018;
• Achieved a number of SILVER and BRONZE Medals in the NSW State Cup series;
• SILVER at Good Neighbour.
• BRONZE at Good Neighbour.

2017- 2018

• Bec has consistently been a starting Middle Blocker for the team;
• Captain of both the 2017-2018 State NSW SVL Seasons for SNV VB.

2018

• The 2018 AVL Grand Prix with the Sydney AMAZONS will be Rebecca’s first experience of Women’s Volleyball at the Elite level. She is looking forward to helping the team bring home the Gold.

2019

• Bronze Medalist – Sydney Volleyball League – Sydney North Volleyball Club – Women’s Honours Division.
• Selected Women’s Sydney AMAZONS Squad for Australian Open Volleyball Championships 2019
